Competitive Squads

Children choosing to swim competitively.

Working on a higher degree of proficiency in all strokes, starts and turns along with distance and speed training to compete in Carnivals.

Attendance: 3 times a week - see training sessions

Must attend all Target Meets (to which they make qualifying times), Club Nights and Time Trials.

Refer to enrolment form for times and fees.

Children who are competitive.

This group caters for children who do not have the potential to become N.Z National Swimmers in their age groups yet.

Swimmers must achieve the BOP Qualifying times.

Technique, endurance, speed and racing rules will be developed in this squad.

This Squad is by invitation only, based on attendance, attitude and performance outcomes.

Minimum criteria is qualification for N.Z. National Championships in either Juniors, Div 2, NAGS and Opens.
